coffee details

The Cooperative is comprised of Apo, Angra, and Kange groups - with each word meaning "brother" in the local language. The cooperatives span the Eastern and Western Highlands, as well as the Simbu province. Different languages are spoken in each province with coffee serving as a unifying force. The cooperatives were united in 2000 by Brian Kuglame who is still in charge of operations to this day. With washing stations strategically placed throughout the wide swath of land that the cooperative covers, management helps train small holder farmers to produce the best coffee possible in the region. This particular lot has a sparkling acidity, a deep sweetness, and some of the heavier body that is associated with coffees from the Pacific.
