This is our second Honduran coffee from the Ojojona region of Honduras. We had the opportunity to visit two farms with Carlos and his son and see how his coffee thrives in the atypical region where El Arrayán is grown. The land is mostly flat and very rocky - he can only plant about 40 to 60 trees a day, whereas other producers have no problem planting over 200 trees on normal work day. He has built a small water reservoir on his property that provides water through a drip irrigation system - another uncommon feature on most small, speciality inclined farms in Honduras. We hope to grow this relationship in the years to come - in the meantime, we hope you enjoy Carlos' first foray into the specialty market.
