Ecuador may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of South American coffee, but this offering from famed producer Galo Morales may change your perceptions of the country and its potential for quality. We were connected with Galo late last year and decided to book one of his most expressive lots immediately after first tasting it.
This honey-processed coffee has intense berry and tropical fruit flavors that is bolstered by notes of dark chocolate. This coffee is grown to the northwest of Quito, Ecuador's incredibly high altitude capital, on the western facing slopes of the Andes mountains.
