We have long enjoyed coffee from all over Indonesia, with Sumatran offerings consistently being some of our favorites. This is our first year sourcing from the Ribang Gayo cooperative. The coffees that make up this lot come from the highest altitude farms in the region and are all isolated from a single ridge near the cooperative. Ribang Gayo is one of the only cooperatives in Sumatra that focuses extensively on fully washed, honey, or natural processed coffees. This dedication to experimenting with different methods and selecting ideal growing conditions for each process shines through in the final cup quality.
