Sightglass Community: Mother's Day

Sightglass Community: Mother's Day

We know Mother’s Day might still look a little different this year so we wanted to round up ways our partners in the community are celebrating, just in case you can’t make it into one of our cafes to see us.

El Sur - San Francisco

Marianne Despres originally started El Sur out of a 1970 Citroen van, serving Argentine-style empanadas made with the best, locally-sourced ingredients, inspired by her background and French culinary training at Le Cordon Bleu. This Mother's Day, she's offering a box of 12 empanadas to bake at home along a bag of our Owl's Howl Espresso. It's the perfect stay at home brunch.

Just What I Kneaded - Los Angeles

Baker Justine Hernandez owns and operates Just What I Kneaded, a brick and mortar café in Frog Town, Los Angeles, where you can find Sightglass coffee and espresso drinks along with her signature vegan treats, bagel sandwiches, and cakes. For Mother's Day, pick up a bundle of flowers and vegan macaroons (or maybe a coffee) for mom.

Communal - San Diego

San Diego’s favorite trend-setting cafe and floral shop, founded by Jen Byard, has locations in North Park (2335 University Ave) and South Park (2221 Fern St). When you buy a drink this Mother's Day, your mother's drink is free - we highly recommend trying the sweet mint cold brew
