Seventy-year-old Don Remigio is the father of six children, four of whom have spent the last 13 years farming alongside him in Las Flores. Remigio grows mostly Pacas and Bourbon varieties, and dries his coffee on raised beds in the back of his house. Though he has grown coffee for many years, this is only Remigio’s second specialty coffee lot--his first attempt produced an outstanding crop and this one promises to be even better. This region is known for very complex, sweet coffees, and Las Cañadas is no exception.
